The ORS brand has long been an iconic staple in Black women’s hair care. However, the recent “Buy Black” movement has left ORS out of sight and out of mind. ORS, which houses the Olive Oil and Curls Unleashed brands, now faces the challenge of driving greater consideration for the Olive Oil collection in a saturated market while establishing cultural relevance and saliency.

Black women face a subliminal hair hierarchy imposed by society and their community, feeling judged no matter how they style their hair.
The reduced pressure, brought on by the CROWN Act, to always be “presentable” has given Black women more freedom to style their hair without judgment.
the idea.
In 2021, we launched the rebrand of the ORS product lines. We created a video spotlighting the Relax + Restore, Fix It, and Max Moisture lines to celebrate and champion Black women’s beauty in every texture and style. Each product line also had a social post to further drive awareness and consideration for ORS Olive Oil products.
